  • No Sensitive Permissions: We do NOT access your contacts, camera, photos, microphone, or precise GPS location.
  • Local Device Storage: All jokes, categories, bookmarks, and user favorite selections are stored 100% locally on your device via SQLite.

2. Text-to-Speech (TTS) Voice Feature

The application features a built-in Text-to-Speech audio reader so you can listen to comedy jokes hands-free:

The audio readout uses your Android device's native system TTS engine (via Expo Speech). No voice data, microphone inputs, or audio recordings are captured, processed on remote servers, or stored by us.

3. Social Sharing & Third-Party Platforms

Jokewala provides a convenient 1-click sharing button allowing you to copy joke text or send it directly to third-party messaging apps like WhatsApp, Instagram, or Telegram:

  • When you trigger the share action, the joke text is passed directly into the Android system share sheet.
  • We do not monitor, record, or track who you share jokes with.
  • Any interaction once inside a third-party app (such as WhatsApp or Facebook) is governed by that service's respective privacy policy.

4. Advertisements & Analytics

Jokewala is completely ad-free in its current release. It contains no third-party advertising SDKs, AdMob trackers, or behavioral profiling mechanisms.

5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our Service is rated for general audiences (Everyone / Teen) and features 100% clean, family-friendly humor. We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you have any concerns regarding content, please contact us immediately.

Because the app does not transmit any personal data over the internet or maintain remote databases of user activity, your privacy is completely insulated and preserved directly on your physical device.
